The UAE is taking steps to ensure that students without internet at home have access to distance education.

The country’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is coordinating with Etisalat and du to provide free mobile data to families who don’t have internet services at home.

According to national news agency WAM, a package will soon be rolled out by the two service providers.

The news comes as many parents were sent links from school regulators to a survey on online connectivity.
