Fourth batch of medical volunteers leave for Gaza

WAM

Seven more medical workers have left the UAE for the Gaza Strip to treat the injured Palestinians in the ongoing conflict with Israel.

This is part of the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation ordered by His Highness President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

This fourth batch will join other doctors and nurses, bringing the total number of UAE medical volunteers active in Gaza to 35, including nine women.

Since its establishment on December 2, the UAE's field hospital in the Gaza Strip has treated more than 443 patients, offering first-aid, consultation, and life-saving surgery.

The hospital includes operating rooms equipped to perform various procedures, specialised clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics, psychiatry, family medicine, and paediatrics, and equipment to carry out CT scans and X-rays.

The pharmacy and laboratory have the latest equipment to carry out various examinations by the best international standards and protocols.
