Flash sale store shut down in Ajman for breaking capacity rules

Ajman Police

A retail outlet has been shut down and fined AED 5,000 by Ajman's Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management team for failing to comply with COVID-19 precautionary measures.

The closure was ordered in coordination with Ajman Police and the Department of Economic Development.

The store was holing a flash sale with discounts and promotions, which caused overcrowding in contravention of social and physical distancing protocols.

The authorities have called on shopkeepers to adhere to all guidelines and decisions issued to confront the pandemic, limit the spread of the virus and reduce cases.

They stressed that no violations will be tolerated and hefty fines will be issued to ensure public health and safety.
