A fifth batch of eight medical volunteers joined their colleagues at the UAE field hospital in Gaza, bringing the total number of volunteers to 43.

The hospital was built under the UAE's "Gallant Knight 3" humanitarian operation, and has received more than 757 cases so far, providing patients with the necessary medical care.

Since its establishment, the field hospital has seen more than 141 major surgical operations performed, and dealt with dozens of cases on a daily basis that require rapid, life-saving intervention.

The hospital includes operating rooms equipped for various types of surgeries, intensive care rooms, specialised clinics, a pharmacy and is fitted with the latest equipment to provide the highest standard of treatment.
