Dubai welcomed over 2.8 million international visitors

Dubai has welcomed 2.85 million international overnight visitors between January and July this year.

That's according to Dubai Tourism, which says that Dubai is set to accelerate growth in Q4 with milestone events including Expo 2020 and the UAE Golden Jubilee celebrations.

They also revealed that the emirate ranked second globally in terms of hotel occupancy with the hospitality sector witnessing 61% average occupancy levels in the first seven months of this year.

By the end of July 2021, Dubai’s hotel inventory stood at 718 establishments offering 129,318 rooms with revenue per available room (RevPAR) increasing to AED225 compared to AED194 for the same period in 2020. 

The tourism authority added that in the first seven months the occupied room nights for hotels stood at 16.34 million in comparison to 10.74 million in 2020.
