Dubai unveils plans for new diabetes centre

Dubai Media Office

Dubai has announced plans for a new diabetes centre, which is set to open in 2026, and will double the patient capacity over the next decade.

Dubai Health's Board of Directors, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, has approved plans for a state-of-the-art facility, which will span over 53,000 square feet.

It will adhere to the highest global standards and is part of Dubai Health’s ongoing efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle and improve healthcare services, in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33.

The new centre will double the size of the current diabetes centre, which has been a cornerstone of specialized care since 2009.

The expanded facility will offer a comprehensive range of services, including advanced therapeutic programmes and cutting-edge medical technology.

Incorporating both traditional healthcare methods and the latest in artificial intelligence, the centre will provide patients with an enhanced, efficient experience.

Conveniently located for easy access across Dubai, the new Diabetes Centre will continue to build on the success of the existing facility, which has already served more than 15,000 patients.
