The latest advancements in disease management as well as innovations in vaccination and public health will be showcased at the Healthcare Future Summit in Dubai later this month.

The event, themed 'Vaccination, Research & Development, Policy, and Delivery: Towards a Healthier Future', will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 29-31. It is set to attract over 3,500 participants and 100 brands from more than 20 countries.

Supported by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the summit will discuss the use of Artificial Intelligence to improve vaccine distribution and strategize for future pandemics.

Key topics will include the impact of modern technologies and AI on pharmaceutical research, with a focus on vaccine development for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and addressing ‘immune ageing.’ The aim is to enhance public health for all age groups.

Additionally, discussions will cover the health economy and resource management, highlighting economic tools to support public health decision-making. The focus will be on cost-effectiveness and financing models to ensure sustainable vaccination programmes through public-private partnerships.

The summit will also explore vaccine policies in the GCC, aiming to create a unified vision to improve public health in the region and prepare Gulf states for future pandemics.

Progress in preventing infectious diseases, like meningitis, will be reviewed in line with the World Health Organization's goal of eradication by 2030.

The summit will also feature several notable international events, including the Dubai Otology, Neurotology & Skull Base Surgery Conference, the Annual Radiology Meeting, and the International Family Medicine Exhibition. These events will include scientific sessions and specialized workshops.

Alongside the main summit, the School Health Conference will host over 400 participants from 200 schools across the UAE, addressing challenges in school immunization programmes and promoting health awareness within the school community.
