Authorities in Dubai are stepping up efforts to enhance the city's visual identity and artistic experiences in public spaces and residential areas.

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Municipality to execute these plans.

The partnership aims to transform Dubai into an open-air art gallery, with Dubai Culture leading the initiative to install artworks and installations, while Dubai Municipality will handle site selection and necessary permits.

This collaboration aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, focusing on sustainable development and people-centred growth.

The goal is to create a dynamic art scene, enriching the city's streets and public squares with unique, local artworks.

Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, emphasised that this collaboration will boost innovation, empower artists, and contribute to the city's creative economy.

Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, highlighted the importance of integrating art with urban development to further elevate Dubai’s aesthetic appeal and cultural vibrancy.
