A restaurant in Dubai has been shut down for failing to adhere to the COVID-19 precautionary measures set by the UAE.

Following compliance checks conducted by the Dubai Economy and Dubai Tourism, it was found that the restaurant in Blue Waters area did not adhere to the "social distancing" rule.

One shop was fined for not placing adequate number of social distancing stickers, while four more shops were issued warnings after their staff were found not wearing face masks.

Meanwhile, inspectors found that 518 shops were fully compliant with the regulations.
