Dubai Police honours resident for returning AED100,000

Dubai Police have honoured an Indian resident for his honesty in handing in AED100,000 that he found in the Al Barsha area.

Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, presented the recognition to  Swadesh Kumar in the presence of Colonel Mostafa Mohamed Abdullah, Head of the Traffic Registration Section, Lt. Col. Yasser Al Hashemi, Head of the Criminal Records Section, and other officers.

As part of the ceremony, Brig. Al Suwaidi emphasised the importance of community collaboration in enhancing security and reinforcing positive values across society. He praised the active role that individuals like Mr. Kumar play in strengthening the country’s reputation by supporting law enforcement efforts. 

Meanwhile, Mr. Kumar expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that it was his duty to return the valuables to the Al Barsha Police Station to ensure their safe return to the rightful owner.
