Dubai has best reputation among top 100 cities

WAM

Dubai has climbed to 5th place in the latest Brand Finance Global City Index, also making it the top-ranked city brand in the MENA region.

The emirate moved up four spots globally from last year, now behind only London, New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

The 2024 index is based on a survey of over 15,000 respondents across 20 countries, assessing 100 cities on reputation, familiarity, and consideration for living, working and investing.

Dubai’s rise is driven by its top ranking for 'Reputation' as well as 'Business & Investment', along with strong performances in areas like remote work and investment attractiveness.

Dubai also ranks 2nd globally for its strong economy and 3rd for its attractive personal taxation policies, solidifying its position as a leading destination for global investors.

Abu Dhabi maintains its position at 30th globally but saw significant gains, improving in consideration for working and investing.

It ranks 2nd worldwide for investment potential and 9th for remote work. The city also climbed to 20th for its leadership in science and technology, highlighting its growing status as an innovation hub.

The findings underscore Dubai and Abu Dhabi's growing global influence and appeal, particularly in business, investment, and innovation.

London retains its position as the world’s top city brand, excelling in Familiarity (3rd) and Reputation (3rd), exemplifying its strong global profile and appeal.
