The Dubai Government has announced remote learning for all private educational institutions in the emirate on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 due to the anticipated weather conditions.

The decision is applicable for schools, nurseries and universities in the emirate.

Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has reviewed plans to address the potential impact of the upcoming weather  conditions.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted rain of varying intensities over the next few days.

Moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by lightning and thunder, and possibly hail, are expected by Wednesday night, starting from the West.

Similar conditions will then extend to most areas of the country on Thursday. The cloud cover will gradually decrease on Friday and Saturday but some Southern areas could experience heavy rainfall.
