Dubai attracts 6.4 million public transport users during Eid

Nearly 6.4 million passengers used various means of public transport, taxis and shared mobility in Dubai during the recent Eid Al Adha holidays (June 27-30).

According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the figures reflect a 14 per cent increase compared to the numbers recorded during the holiday period last year (5.61 million riders).

The number of riders across Dubai Metro's Red and Green Lines exceeded 2.38 million, while public buses catered to more than 1.4 million passengers and the tram served 104,000 riders.

Taxis were used by over 1.97 million passengers, marine transport ferried 260,000 commuters and shared mobility means attracted 261,000 users.
