Thousands of kilograms of ivory confiscated at Dubai Airports

Thousands of pieces of ivory have been confiscated after attempts to take them through Dubai Airports in the last few months.

The General Departments of Airport Security at Dubai Police, handed over more than 2,200 pieces or ivory from elephants and gazelle as well as Rhino horn weighing over 1300 kgs to the Ministry of Environment and Water.

Smugglers or people trying to transit illegal items or animals, will face heavy fines and jail time.
