A new drive-through COVID-19 screening centre has opened in Al Ain.

The Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) announced that the Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) facility at Al Sarouj has two lanes for vaccinations and four for PCR nose swab and DPI laser-based testing.

It has the capacity to administer 200 vaccinations and 800 tests daily.

The centre is open from Saturday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am during Ramadan, and from Saturday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm after the Holy Month.

The AHS also announced the closure of the SEHA Drive-Through Screening Centre in Al Masoudi from Friday, May 30.

Commenting on the opening Mohamed Hawas Al Sadid, the AHS CEO, said it's "in line with the community’s needs".

He added that the centre has "a new design utilising shipping containers, which are more durable and adaptable, and provide a very high level of heat and cold resistance. They are also easier to move, reuse, and maintain".

This brings the total number of drive-through screening and vaccination facilties managed by AHS in Al Ain to three - Al Hili, Asharej, and Al Sarouj.

UAE nationals and residents wishing to receive the vaccine or undergo a COVID-19 screening can book an appointment through SEHA’s app.
