An awareness campaign against domestic violence has been launched by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department to educate on family rights and underscore penalties for offenders.

The Centre for Legal and Community Awareness' Violence... the End of Family Stability campaign will run over three months, with special focus on social media messaging.

Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, ADJD Undersecretary, emphasised the vital role of the Centre in protecting society through preventive measures.

This includes increasing legal and community awareness to uphold rights guaranteed by the law, aligning with directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of ADJD.

Counselor Dr. Muhammad Rashid Al Dhanhani, Director of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, added that the programme's goal is to educate all members of the community about the value of encouraging family dialogue and fostering a culture of respect among members in order to preserve the safety and entity of the family. A strong family structure, he noted, is essential for societal and educational development, fostering self-confidence, respect, and appreciation among its members.
