All UAE schools and universities will continue the remote learning programme until the end of the current academic year (2019 - 2020).

That's according to an announcement made by the UAE Ministry of Education on Monday.

It said the decision to extend the system comes in response to the exceptional circumstances and national efforts to adopt the best mechanisms to protect society amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.

They said the distance learning programme is going well and they are continuously working to improve it by incorporating smart solutions.

They will also be updating mechanism of assessments and exams.

The Ministry has prepared a new study plan that will be circulated in schools tomorrow, and it will start from next Wednesday.
