The UAE is on the right path to recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to its proactive approach in responding to the crisis.

That's according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority's (NCEMA) spokesperson, Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, who highlighted the country's ability in adapting to the challenges.

During the government's weekly media briefing on Tuesday, Dr. Al Dhaheri explained how the UAE has embraced technology and come up with innovative solutions to ease the impact of the pandemic.

He also highlighted the government's recent decision to form the National COVID-19 Crisis Recovery Management and Governance Committee that aims to achieve a strategic balance between vital sectors of the country.

However, the official added that the success of the planning stage for recovery largely depends on the support of the public.

He called on everyone to continue complying with the government's guidelines and preventative measures to bring down the infection rates and ensure a safe and gradual return to normal life.

During the briefing, it was announced that there had been 15 COVID-19 deaths between November 4 and 10, which was a 29 per cent drop compared to the previous week.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 tests conducted during the period (894,104) increased by 11 per cent.
