UAE residents are being urged to undergo periodic checks and COVID-19 testing.

That's according to Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, the official spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).

He clarified that all family members, including domestic workers, should undergo testing after visits and attending official events or celebrations.

“It is aimed at preserving the safety and health of every citizen and resident, with strong leadership that has always emphasized that the first priority in the country is our people’s health,” he said.

Speaking at a press briefing this morning, Al Dhaheri also urged the public to celebrate responsibly.

This includes wearing masks at all times and practising social distancing in public spaces.
