The UAE has achieved its target of having half of the population vaccinated against COVID-19 within the first quarter of 2021.
More than 52 per cent of people in the country have now received the vaccine, including over 70 per cent of elderly and those in the vulnerable category.
Abdulrahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention said the UAE has administered nearly 7 million vaccine doses through 205 medical centres across the country.
The figures were revealed during the government's media briefing on the latest developments related to COVID-19.
