Officials at Dubai Economy (DED) shut down 14 commercial establishments in January for violating the precautionary measures aimed at combatting COVID-19.

As many as 213 outlets were fined and warnings were issued to 30 others during the field inspections conducted in open markets and shopping centres.

The violations were mainly related to face masks and physical distancing rules.

Meanwhile, a total of 15,045 establishments were found to be fully compliant with the guidelines.

Dubai Economy is once again reminding the public to report any violation through the Dubai Consumer App or other official platforms.
