Movement restrictions for children have been relaxed in the UAE.

During the national media briefing on Wednesday, Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, Director of Safety and Prevention at the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) announced that children would be allowed to enter eating establishments in all seven emirates.

He reminded all members of the community to continue complying with the existing precautions:

  • Avoid public events and family gathering
  • Wear a mask and gloves when leaving the home
  • Limit the number of passengers in a vehicle to three (except when travelling as a family group with members of the same household)
  • Wear a mask in the car if there is more than one person present

He called on members of the national media to continue playing a constructive role in sharing relevant and reliable information.
