The UAE leaders have marked Emirati Children's Day by focusing on the crucial role they play in the country's future and their continuous efforts to empower them.

In a message posted on social media platform X, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said it remains the nation's priority to nurture the development of our children and enable their potential.

"On Emirati Children’s Day, we reaffirm our shared commitment as a community and nation to protecting the rights of children and ensuring they remain central to our vision of progress and prosperity for all," Sheikh Mohamed wrote.

In his message, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, highlighted how children are the nation's future.

Every child is born with immense talent and it's up to the nurturers to help them achieve their true potential, Sheikh Mohammed added.

"Our children today are the men and women who will carry, protect and build our country's future," he wrote.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, said that "investing in children is an investment in the nation's future".

In his social media post, Sheikh Mansour added that the "UAE has been keen to develop legislation and strategies aimed at providing social, health, and educational care for children, as well as protecting and safeguarding their rights".

Emirati Children's Day is marked on March 15 every year and was introduced in 2018 by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation.
