Body of slain Emirati serviceman returned to UAE

The body of an Emirati serviceman who was killed in Saudi Arabia has been returned to the UAE.

According to the national news agency WAM, the remains of First Corporal Tariq Hussein Hassan Al Baloushi arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi aboard a military plane on Thursday.

Several senior officers from the Armed Forces received the body as part of a special military ceremony.

Al Baloushi was killed while carrying out his duties during the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope.
