Al Ain factory shut for food safety violations

A dates factory has been shut down in Al Ain for violating safety and hygiene standards.

Officials took action against the Taibat Al Emarat Factory after finding insects in the production areas on three separate occasions last year.

According to the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, operations at the facility will remain suspended until it meets quality standards.
