Abu Dhabi urges public to avoid gatherings during Eid

Abu Dhabi Media Office

Members of the public have been urged to host Eid celebrations virtually.

Taking to social media channels, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee recommended that people avoid social gatherings and extend Eid greetings digitally instead.

People have also been reminded to follow all precautionary measures including practising frequent hand washing, wearing masks and social distancing.

Senior citizens and those with chronic conditions have been advised to limit outings.

The authority said the move is part of preventive and precautionary measures to protect public health and the community's safety during Eid Al Adha.
