Health centres in Abu Dhabi have opened vaccination slots for children aged three and above.

That's according to a Tweet by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, which said the decision to offer the Sinopharm COVID vaccine to children was approved following clincal trials and local evaluation.

The jab is being offered at Al Mushrif Children's Speciality Centre in Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on a walk-in basis, with more centres added to the list.

These sweeping new changes come after 900 young participants helped study the efficacy of the Sinopharm vaccine in Abu Dhabi.
