His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has attended the UAE-India Business Forum in Mumbai.

Held under the theme "Beyond CEPA: Innovation and Future Ready Economies", the event covered key sectors such as healthcare, biotechnology, renewable energy, AI, logistics, and agricultural technology.

Sheikh Khaled emphasised the importance of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in boosting bilateral economic growth and enhancing trade.

He also emphasised the UAE’s commitment to developing economic ties with India and easing access to key markets through a seamless, business-friendly ecosystem.

Key agreements announced include:

  • A partnership between Lulu Group and India's Agricultural and Processed Food Export Development Authority to import organic produce, and collaborations between AD Ports Group and India's Ministry of Ports to develop a virtual trade corridor.
  • G42 introduced its Hindi Large Language Model (LLM), NANDA, to support the growth of India's AI ecosystem, while the UAE-based International Resources Holding RSC LTD, a natural resources extractive company, and Oil India Limited signed an agreement to collaborate on opportunities in the mining sector.
  • UAE-based aircraft maintenance organisation Global Jet Technic signed agreements with India's InterGlobe Aviation Services, Air India and Akasa Air, to provide aircraft line maintenance services for their fleets at international airports in the UAE.
  • Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Confederation of Indian Industry entered a collaboration to enhance investment opportunities for the private sector in both the UAE and India.
  • Rorix Holdings, a global trading and trade facilitation company, signed a cooperation agreement with Indian logistics company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited to integrate advanced technologies into India’s infrastructure. Rorix Holdings also partnered with the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association to facilitate the trading of precious metals.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, highlighted the forum's role in fostering economic growth, noting a significant increase in bilateral non-oil trade.

The UAE-India CEPA, in effect since May 2022, has facilitated easier access to markets and reduced tariffs, driving industrial growth and global competitiveness.

The forum, part of Sheikh Khaled’s official visit to India, is aimed at strengthening business ties and exploring new areas of cooperation between the two nations.
