Abu Dhabi beaches now more wheelchair-friendly

Abu Dhabi's beaches are becoming more accessible.

Ten new pathways have been built that will make it easier for seniors and people with disabilities to get around the capital’s beaches.

They’re located at Corniche beach, Al Bateen public beach and Al Bateen ladies beach.

New play areas that are more friendly for young wheelchair users have also been installed.

Authorities say it’s part of a push to accommodate all members of society, and allow everyone to enjoy access to the city’s public spaces.
