Abdullah bin Zayed, Blinken discuss regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken about recent developments in the Middle East.

During the phone call, they focused on efforts to de-escalate tensions and achieve a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the need for the international community to enhance humanitarian aid and protect civilians in Gaza.

He also highlighted the importance of combating extremism and reducing regional violence to safeguard both regional and global security.

The discussion also covered the ongoing situation in Sudan and its humanitarian impact.
