VIDEO: 19-year-old British girl reunited with family in Abu Dhabi

A British student has expressed her gratitude to the UAE government for helping her return to her family in Abu Dhabi.

Nineteen-year-old Eilidh Ashton was repatriated to the UAE after being stuck in the UK for over a month due to the travel restrictions imposed globally to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

"Thank you for bringing me back home," Ashton said after she received a special welcome at the airport.

Her mother Christina Ashton also thanked the UAE leadership for reuniting her with her daughter.
