Scotland has introduced a mandatory 10-day quarantine for all passengers arriving from Dubai.

The new rule came into effect on Monday, January 11 (at 4:00 am).

In addition, passengers who travelled to Scotland from Dubai since January 3 are also being asked to isolate for 10 days, from the date of arrival.

According to a statement on the Scottish government website, the change is due to a number of positive cases identified in passengers who have flown into Glasgow since the new year.

Emirates Airline has updated the COVID-19 travel requirements section on its website to reflect the latest change.
