At least one person has died and eight others have been injured after part of the roof of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport collapsed due to severe weather.
Heavy rainfall and strong winds in New Delhi caused a section of the roof at the airport's Terminal 1 to collapse early on Friday morning.
Medical services were called to provide aid at the scene as reports indicated one person was trapped under the collapsed roof while others were taken to hospital to be treated.
At least six people were injured after a portion of the roof collapsed on cars, including taxis, amid heavy rains at Terminal-1 of New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Friday with four firefighter teams from airport and Delhi fire service rushed to the spot pic.twitter.com/8JNjdJNKbM

The terminal, primarily serving low-cost carriers, has cancelled all departures until 2pm IST (12:30pm UAE time).
