North Korea's Kim Jong-Un rode a horse up Mount Paektu, for the second time in less than two months, hinting at a more confrontational stance with the international community.
This time he was accompanied by senior military officers and is said to soon convene a rare meeting of the ruling party's leaders.
According to the state media, it's aimed at instilling a "revolutionary spirit" in the people.
It comes as Kim warned the US that it has until the end of the year to offer more concessions to restart stalled denuclearisation talks or North Korea will pursue an unspecified "new path".
