Israel has met its deadline and submitted a report to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), regarding the measures taken to comply with a temporary ruling that called on Tel Aviv to prevent acts of war that may amount to genocide.
An Israeli official confirmed that they submitted the report to the World Court on Monday.
South Africa filed a lawsuit in ICJ against Israel at the end of last December, on charges of violating the Genocide Convention and demanded that military action in Gaza be halted and humanitarian aid be allowed to enter without restrictions.
On January 26, the court ruled that Israel must take all measures to prevent acts of genocide against the Palestinians, but it did not order the state to cease fire.
The deadline granted by the court to Israel to submit a report on its operations in the Gaza Strip expired on Monday.
