Over one hundred thousand people joined a virtual queue for Coldplay's pre-sale tickets for their upcoming gig in Abu Dhabi. Coldplay later announced they had added a second gig, on January 12, 2025, due to demand.

Fans took to social media to share their experience when trying to secure tickets to the band's gig in the UAE capital on January 11.

Images show fans waiting in the virtual queue with over 100,000 others eagerly trying to buy tickets for the event at Zayed Sports Stadium.

The UAE concert is Coldplay's only Middle East stop as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour, and the official capacity of the stadium is 44,600, meaning thousands in the virtual queue are going to miss out on seeing the band live.

Prices start at AED 195 for standard seating, while general admission standing and restricted view tickets are AED 395. Other categories are priced at AED 295, AED 495, AED 595, AED 695 and AED 995 respectively. Deluxe tickets are also going on sale for AED 1,495.

Following the pre-sale on Coldplay's official website event organiser Live Nation is selling pre-sale tickets starting on Thursday at noon. General sale tickets go on sale on Friday at noon on Live Nation's website.

On Wednesday Ticketmaster Middle East issued a statement warning fans that any tickets purchased on other platforms would not be valid for the show.

Due to the demand the band added the second date, the following day and at the same venue. Pre-sale tickets for which also went on sale on Wednesday.
