Rolling Stones' under 24-hour armed guard

The Rolling Stones are under 24-hour armed guard in South America. The legendary rockers are currently on tour in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru and Colombia and have increased their already heavy security after a man was shot dead in an attempted robbery at their show in Argentina's La Plata stadium. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Of course these things are all considered well in advance of a tour, and massive bands like The Rolling Stones are well aware of the risks posed by these places - so they take no chances. "Wealthy personalities are always potential targets, but the band are kept safe and secure at all times by the best security personnel on the planet. "They choose their hotels carefully, travel in separate vehicles which also reduces the risks, and are surrounded by armed security." The group kicked off their 2016 tour in Chile earlier this month and will finish in Mexico on March 17 and Keith Richards hinted that the group could be planning a North America leg. He previously said: "It wouldn't surprise me at all. Up to now, I've gotten as far as South America at the beginning of next year, and I know up to then. But after that, who knows? See how the boys feel."
