Oscar-winner Olivia Colman will take over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II in the lead role.

The streaming network also released a short trailer that shows Colman walking into the frame and looking into the camera.

The third season will jump forward in time significantly, spanning 1964 to 1977.
