Most expensive Star Wars memorabilia item sold at auction

A model of the Star Wars blockade runner spaceship has sold for a record AED 1.6 million at a Hollywood memorabilia auction. The intricate 16-inch model, featured in the first film, has become the most expensive Star Wars item ever to be sold at auction. Another Star Wars item, Princess Leia's slave costume, was auctioned off for AED 352,000. It wasn’t just Star Wars memorabilia on sale - Harrison Ford's signature bull whip from the Indiana Jones movies went for AED 749,000 and the 1953-54 Superman costume sold for AED 793,000.
