Global Village unveils special Ramadan programmes

WAM

Global Village has lined up a host of special programmes to give visitors the opportunity to discover Ramadan traditions from a multitude of different countries and cultures.

Ramadan Nights will offer a line-up of authentic traditions of the holy month, including Iftar and Suhoor, at the beautiful Majlis of the World.

Since its launch last season, the outdoor Majlis has quickly won over hearts, with this edition promising to be "bigger and better".

The Iftar cannon, placed next to the Majlis of the World, will fire at sunset to signal the end of the fast.

Guests will be able to book tables at the Majlis via the Global Village app for up to six people for AED 150 for two hours, or stay the entire evening for just AED 200.

Special light and decor will set the mood for the visitors, while different pavilions will be filled with super shopping deals. From perfect outfits to interesting accessories, there's something for everyone.

Spectacular firework shows will also unfold every weekend at 9:00 pm.

"We are delighted that we have been able to prolong the season to enjoy the entire holy month with our guests and partners," said Bader Anwahi, CEO at Global Village, adding that this will be the first time that Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated at Global Village.

Season 26 has been extended until May 7, with organisers informing that parking hours will be from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am starting April 1.
