Global Village, which brings together 27 pavilions, over 3,500 shopping outlets and more than 250 restaurants and street food outlets, will officially open its doors to the public for its 27th season today.

Featuring 40,000 shows, guests will be able to experience a new lineup of some of the world’s best performers, famous characters, world-class concerts, street entertainment and the region’s only water-based stunt show.

The Road of Asia, a new pedestrian street featuring 43 kiosks from 13 Asian countries with authentic products from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, and the Philippines, will also add to the gastronomic experience of the guests.

More than 175 rides, games and attractions will also be lined-up, including the new Global Village Big Balloon, a one-of-its-kind Helium Balloon Ride providing spectacular 360-degree views across Global Village and the wider surroundings. There's also House of Fear, the scariest haunted house in the region, and Diggers Lab, a hydraulic digger experience located at the entrance of Carnaval, that's added to the fun list.

Guests will also stand a chance to win big this season, when they post photos alongside some of the Global Village "wonder rides" - featuring iconic taxis from New York, Cuba, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, and Lebanon - on social media with #WonderRides.

Mohamed Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment, highlighted how Global Village has helped "cement Dubai as a global hub for entertainment and tourism" over two decades.

The team has added "new and unique ways to take the guest experience to the next level" in the new season, he added.

The park will also unveil new pavilions from Qatar and Oman, bringing the total number of pavilions this season to 27.

From October 26, the park will open daily from 4:00 pm until midnight. On Friday, Saturday, and public holidays, opening hours will be from 4:00 pm until 1:00 am. Tuesdays will be reserved for ladies and families except on public holidays and the season-opening day (October 25).

Entry tickets start at AED18. Public can choose from new ticket options this year, with "Value" ticket, valid from Sunday to Thursday (excluding public holidays), for weekday visits and "Any Day" ticket with more flexibility to park access, including public holidays. There's a 10 per discount offered for those who buy their tickets via the Global Village mobile app or website.
