The 27th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) drew to a close on Sunday following a 47-day extravaganza featuring incredible deals, innovative events, world-class entertainment and life-changing prizes.

The world’s longest running retail festival wrapped up with dazzling performances from regional and international superstars Rashid Al Majed, Waleed Al Shami, James Blunt, and a “Sawwah'' hologram experience featuring Arab legend Abdel Halim Hafez.

The fests also closed in style at Bluewaters, The Beach opposite JBR, and The Pointe with a spectacular fireworks display by Al Zarooni Group.

During the 47-days of DSF, citizens, residents and visitors to Dubai were treated to a whole host of ways to shop, win and play - all day, everyday.

With more than 320 concerts and events, 160 lighting shows, 430 performing arts and entertainment acts, 2 lighting exhibitions, 1 million street lights, 8 DSF community markets that included 220 homegrown stalls, DSF brought even more entertainment opportunities to the city’s packed cultural calendar.

Dozens of mega sales, daily deals, surprises and activations delivered unbeatable ways to shop throughout the festival.

In true DSF style, more than AED30 million worth of prizes were awarded through daily raffles and promotions, with lucky winners taking home truly life changing prizes - including a total of AED6 million in gold, Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, gold and cash, in addition to a chance to win a stunning Madinat Jumeirah Living apartment.

"The success of the 27th edition of DSF illustrates Dubai’s continued openness to welcome everyone in a safe environment thanks to the preventative measures rolled out by the authorities to ensure people’s health and safety at every touchpoint," said Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

DFRE also confirmed dates for the 28th edition of DSF, which will run from December 15, 2022 to January 29, 2023.

The end of this edition of DSF marks the beginning of Dubai’s Chinese New Year celebrations that will run until February 12, with Spring Summer Collection launches taking place throughout February and March.

Dubai’s malls, retail stores and attractions are all continuing to adhere to stringent COVID-19 health and safety protocols, while taking all the necessary precautions to keep visitors and shoppers safe.
