Celine Dion to attend Las Vegas service for husband

Celine Dion will attend a Las Vegas event honouring her late husband tomorrow (03.02.16) evening. The 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker is to appear at The Colosseum inside Caesars Palace - the venue of her residency - for a celebration of life service honouring husband René Angélil, but according to E! News, she won't speak or perform during the ceremony. Instead, René - who died of cancer last month - will be remembered by other guests. Celine - whose brother Daniel died of cancer just days after her husband passed away - recently thanked fans for offering their "love and support" to her, her kids, René-Charles, 15, and five-year-old Eddy and Nelson, and René's children Patrick, Jean-Pierre and Anne-Marie, from previous relationships. She wrote in a message posted on her website: "My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days. We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time... more than you'll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. "I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring René with National Funerals as well as the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name. René was laid to rest at a public funeral at the Notre-Dame Basilica - where he and the singer were married in 1994. Celine is due to return to her residency later this month.
