Movie theatres in the American state of California could resume operations as early as June 12.
The movie hall owners are required to limit attendance and implement safety guidelines once they receive approvals from local health officials.
According to the state's health department, cinemas must cap attendance at 25 per cent of normal capacity, or a maximum of 100 people, whichever is lower,
Movie-goers must stay two-metres apart while purchasing tickets and wear masks except when eating or drinking.
Movie halls closed their doors around the world in mid-March to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
