Abu Dhabi to attempt world record with 40-minute NYE fireworks display

The Sheikh Zayed Festival, at Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi will hold a 40-minute fireworks display on New Year's Eve, in an attempt to set three Guinness World Records for volume, duration and form.

Festival visitors can also look forward to a gigantic drone show, organised under the theme "WELCOME 2022" and using 2022 drones.

This will be the first show of its kind and magnitude in the world.

Other highlights of the celebrations include a series of folkloric and entertainment events with performances by Emirati singer Aida Al Menhali and Iraqi singer Ali Saber.

The fest will also feature children's activities, including theatre shows and circus performances, in addition to funfair games, among many more activities running from 4:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
