A$AP Rocky will stand trial in Los Angeles starting January 21, 2024, on charges related to a 2021 incident in which he allegedly fired a gun at former friend in Hollywood.

The rapper, partner of singer Rihanna, has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

The trial had been initially scheduled for November 12 but the rappers legal team requested a postponement due to his upcoming performance at the Rolling Loud festival in Thailand.

The trial, expected to last about two weeks, will be open to video coverage, allowing the public to follow the proceedings.

Superior Court Judge Mark S. Arnold emphasised the importance of transparency in the courtroom.

If convicted, Rocky could face up to 24 years in prison.

His attorney, Joe Tacopina, expressed confidence that Rocky will clear his name, noting that he is eager to resolve the charges.
