Flydubai is restarting passenger services to Taif in Saudi Arabia from April 15.

Passengers can look forward to daily flights between Dubai International's (DXB) Terminal 2 and Taif International Airport (TIF).

The latest addition takes flydubai’s network in Saudi Arabia to seven destinations including AlUla, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh and Yanbu.

The airline has built a network of more than 95 destinations in 50 countries served by a young fleet of 63 Boeing 737 aircraft.

"We are pleased to see our network grow to offer more than 95 unique destinations. The network expansion has been supported by our growing fleet as we continue to take delivery of more aircraft over the next few months," said Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai's Chief Executive Officer.

Located less than 100 km east of Mecca in a valley on the eastern side of the Hejaz mountains, Taif is a popular summer holiday destination.

Due to its cooler climate and fertile land, the region is called "the Garden of the Hejaz”.

Taif, known as the City of Roses, has more than 900 rose farms that produce over 300 million flowers every spring.
