The emirate has seen a record 51 per cent increase in cruise tourist footfall during the 2018/2019 season and a 38 per cent rise in ship calls.

In total, 846,176 visitors passed through the Mina Rashid terminal via 152 vessels.

An additional 211 ship calls are now confirmed for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.

Since its opening in 2014, Mina Rashid’s Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal has received over 2.3 million visitors, marking a 172 per cent increase towards the end of 2018.

Expansion work is currently underway at the terminal, while it’s also working to provide improved berthing services for private yacht owners.
