Emirates Airline and Flydubai have temporarily suspended its operations to the Afghan capital Kabul.

Taking to their official website, Emirates said the decision to suspend services "until further notice" is "due to the developing situation in Afghanistan".

In a statement to ARN News, FlyDubai said it will continue to monitor the situation closely and work in line with the official directives.

Passengers have been advised to check with their airlines regarding refund and re-booking options.
