Australia focuses on health sector in latest Middle East trade show

The Australian Trade Commission has kicked off its regional road show to promote bilateral trade, investment and cultural ties. According to the Australian Consul-General in Dubai, Gerard Seeber, the UAE is Australia’s 10th biggest foreign investor and 18th largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching $6 billion (AED 22 billion) last year. He says this year’s trade mission is focused on the health and medical sector.

Today also marked the first official outing for Australia’s Ambassador-designate to the UAE, Arthur Spiro.
